THE TREE HOUSE NUMBER 2

Welcome to Tree House No.2 including 5 rooms in numerical order from Room 6 - Termite Room, Room 7 - Bamboo Room, Room 8 - Kangaroo Room, Room 9 - Bear Room and Room 10 - Gourd Room.

At the foot of the Tree House No.2 is Room 6 - Termite Room representing one of natural features of Lam Vien plateau in Lam Dong province, in which there are a lot of pine trees that is good for the development of termite. Termites are insects living underground in the termite mound that they created. The Termite Room, which is located on the lowest floor of the Tree House number 2, with a small area of 10 square meters but the room still has amenities such as bathroom, a double bed and a termite mound that is right beside the fireplace.

The upper stairways of the Tree House No.2 will lead you to the Room 7 - Bamboo Room. The image of bamboo is used a lot in Vietnamese folk culture, literature and bamboos symbolize Vietnamese people’s quality as well. Therefore, Room 7 - The Bamboo Room - represents Vietnam. This room also has as many amenities as other rooms, inside the trunk of the bamboo is right the fireplace of the room.

To the right of the Room 7 is the memorial room of the late General Secretary Truong Chinh, he is the Crazy House owner’s father.

To the left of Room 7 is the way up to Room 8 - Kangaroo Room. The room represents Australia. Within the area of 12 square meters, put a strange-shaped bed, which is wider on the head of the bed and narrower towards the end. Especially next to the door, there is a fireplace bearing the image of mother Kangaroo and child. Mother Kangaroo is always beside the baby to protect and cherish him in her pocket until he is grown enough and can take care of himself. This makes us remember our mom a lot. Mom will be by the side to look after and teach us necessary things in life until we are steadfast on the paths of life. Just imagine that you are in this room and outside it is frosty, you are enjoying the fire, sipping a cup of hot tea, and listening to gentle concert music. Even if you want to step out of the room, standing in the lobby and looking at a fantastic Dalat night view, what a wonderful feeling it is!

Opposite Room 8 is the path to the Tree House No.1. Continuing to head upstairs, you are going to see Room 9 - Bear Room. Mentioning bear, we immediately think about Russia, the country that Architect Dang Viet Nga spent a long period of time studying, working in her youth. The Room 9 or The Room created by the author is considered as a nostalgia of the architect Dang Viet Nga about distant Russia. The image of the bear is a symbol for Russia because the appearance of Russians is quite big and mighty like bears (according to the architect). This room, which is located on the third floor of the Tree House No.2, is an area of 13 square meters with all necessary amenities for staying. In the middle of the room, there is a fireplace shaped into a giant bear, the beehive in the bear’s hands is transformed into the firewood holder. To the left of the room is a double bed, there is a set of a table and chairs on the right side of the room in order that guests can sit there, enjoy tea and chat with the others.

Next, from Room 9, please head upstairs to visit Room 10 - Gourd Room. The room represents Vietnam with a large gourd-shape fireplace in the middle of the room. Since ancient times, gourds have been used to serve Vietnamese people’s daily life such as food, decorative tools, musical instruments, art objects, … The image of gourds is also mentioned a lot in Vietnam proverbs. The Gourd room is located on the top floor of the Tree House No.2 with a unique design. The bathroom has a contoured bathtub made of marble. Out of the room, there is a balcony with railing simulated wooden vines, you can get the whole view of Dalat City from there. Two big gourds and one small gourd beside the bed are right by the fireplace. The ceiling of the room has got a spider-web roof and is covered with glass so you can see the sky from inside at night.

Leaving the Gourd Room and going up, you are going to get to the peak of the Rong House by following the left staircase and observing a part of the city center. Besides, the lower path to the right though the Rong House will be the suitable way for people who fear height, the old and the little ones.
