THE MEMORIAL ROOM OF ARCHITECTS DR. DANG VIET NGA'S PARENTS
Welcome to the memorial room of Architects Dr. Dang Viet Nga's parents.
Architect Dr. Dang Viet Nga's father was the General Secretary of Vietnam Truong Chinh (1907-1988). He served twice as General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam. Truong Chinh was Ho Chi Minh's excellent student and a famous leader of the Vietnamese revolution.
Truong Chinh was the author of the book "Kháng chiến nhất định thắng lợi", which was the great welcome by the young at that time. He always supported young people, who had progressive ideas. When he was eighty, he was still the leader in the reformation of Viet Nam. Truong Chinh was a good listener and a careful person. He valued those who dare to tell the truth, point out the problems, and state their own views. He also appreciated those who acknowledged their mistakes and corrected them.
Those who have worked with Truong Chinh always remember him with respect and trust.
Mr. Truong Chinh was a knowledgeable person, and he was also a poet. He was a patriotic poet. Although he graduated from the College of Commerce, he was interested in studying Literature. Truong Chinh told his son, Dang Viet Bich that if he were not a politician, he would study Literature. In addition, he loved reading. His children always tried to learn from their father.
Dang Viet Nga was born and grew up in a traditional and educated family that helped her have good character. She always wants to do something for her country, Vietnam.
Her mother is Nguyen Thi Minh. She was a pretty and gentle woman, who always loved and took diligent care of her family. Her encouragement and her loving care were the important things that helped Mr. Truong Chinh to success in his career.
The memorial room of Architects Dr. Dang Viet Nga's parents is next to the living room of the Hang Nga Villa, which has a special fireplace in rice mortar and pestle shape. The rice mortar and pestle are specific equipment of the Highland area, and they also help us think about the picture of a family: the pair of big rice mortar and pestle are parents, and the small ones look like children.
Visitors can find some photos of Ms. Dang Viet Nga's family, some articles, letters of Mr. Truong Chinh and some souvenirs of the family in this room.
Madam Nga would like to send a message to everyone that: anywhere we live or anyplace we come, our hearts always head towards our family, country, and roots.
